Remixing Two adidas Icons

What happens when you combine the bold upper of the adidas AE1 with the sculpted sole of the adidas Real Deal? You get a hybrid silhouette that bridges eras built for both the game and the culture.

I created this concept in six colorways, each designed to move fluidly from court-ready performance to off-court lifestyle wear. But this wasn’t just a quick mockup, it was a layered creative process:

I sketched the concept in Procreate to lock in proportions and overall form, rendered it using NewArc.ai to visualize material depth, lighting, and structure, then finally refined the details in Photoshop, adjusting textures, shadows, and final color accuracy.

This workflow allowed me to blend speed with precision and more importantly, storytelling. It’s a tribute to adidas’ innovation in basketball and a concept that could fit into today’s athlete-driven design landscape.
