Air More Uptempo '96

A redesign of the Uptempo worn by Scottie Pippen

The Nike Air More Uptempo 96 is a piece of '90s footwear and still one of Nike's most popular shoes. Wilson Smith designed it. It nailed the era's bold, oversized look. From Scottie Pippen on the court to its cameo in 'George of the Jungle', this shoe was everywhere. Wilson Smith's design, with its big 'AIR' branding, left a real mark on sneaker culture. Inspired by it, I took a shot at a modern version. I kept the spirit of the original and focused on comfort and a cleaner look. I made a few ads and included the original shoe as one of them. I render my footwear concepts in NewArc.ai, edit in Photoshop and sketch in Procreate.
