Nike Grounded

One sculptural Nike silhouette, imagined five different ways.

Grounded is a concept built around a single shoe. I wanted a silhouette that looked grown instead of assembled, with the swoosh melting into the paneling rather than sitting on top of it. Soft, organic and a little strange, but unmistakably Nike.

The two real Nike shoes that inspired the Grounded silhouette — The starting point. A vintage Nike runner and a Nike wrestling boot, folded into one grown silhouette.

Then I gave it five lives. The same shoe, five moods, each with its own world and its own line. Black is grounded in strength. Red plays with fire. White goes quiet with no noise and just game. The basketball leather brings court vision in full color. Green is all new moves and new growth. It is a study in how far one design can travel when you change the story around it.
